I am Vanessa Senni. I first started at Optimal as a gym member in February 2011. In 2012, I retired from my job with the federal government after 34 years of service; and started working with Steve as my Personal Trainer. It was during that time that he suggested I become a Personal Trainer, which had never crossed my mind before. So I decided to go for it, got certified and began working as a Trainer in March 2013. Since that time, in addition to being certified in Personal Training, I also earned certifications in Health Coaching, Senior Fitness and Core Conditioning. I regularly teach group fitness classes in Spin and Barre and often sub in Pound and HIIT. I participated in many of the Transformation Challenges helping people lose weight and get into the best shape of their lives.
I enjoy all aspects of fitness, health and wellness; and working with people of all ages. I particularly enjoy working with senior clients to help them realize the value of movement, taking care of themselves and remaining active as part of their plan for aging well. As the oldest trainer at Optimal, I hope to help inspire people to understand that fitness and a healthy lifestyle are not just for the young; but are important for everyone, regardless of age, to continue to pursue.
